New Guest Bath

On the day after Thanksgiving, 1999, George and Arnold were sighted playing in the guest bathroom- bad sign!
Here's what it looks like when you get rid of the tacky wall paper and vanity and tile and exterior slider...
Here we are, ready to rock and roll- the toilet to the left is being reused ('cuz it's more than 1.6 GPM!) and off to the right is the new one-piece Lasco shower/tub unit we're installing- much easier to maintain.
There wasn't any good way to get access to the plumbing in the shower, so George just made an access hole...
This was an expecially fun project because we got to play with corian fabrication...

Here's George fabbing the guest bath counter top, bonding the basin to the corian top. .
The goop sets up in 5 minutes, but you need lots of pressure and George is good at applying pressure... ;-).

The only mishap of the project (so far) was that George fought with Mr. Router and Mr. Router won...

every now and then, he needs to be reminded that power tools can hurt you- there wasn't any permanent damage here, but there was lots of blood and it encouraged him to pay attention!

And, the finished product!
Here we are with vanity, counter top, tile, lights and color-coordinated towels installed.
