Over the years, we've had 3 houses and rebuilt all of them. |

I bought our first house in 1997. It was a tired eichler in Sunnyvale that we rebuilt entirely..! Since we were DINKs (dual income, no kids) and had 2 guest bedrooms, we had all kinds of visitors all the time, so we started calling our house "the resort" (or the more formal "the Austin Hill Resort"); hence the initials "AHR" on everything. |

In 2001, when we moved back east, our second house was in Carlisle, MA. It was pretty contemporary and we ended up rebuilding large portions of it, also. |

After moving back to California in 2004, this Eichler was in Saratoga, CA. We bought this place from an estate and it was definitely the most tired to date...Everything had to be redone. |

After we split, I bought this shack from an investor (who just bought it from a trust). It's also in Saratoga, CA. It had been unoccupied for 7 years (except for mice and rats...!) and needed everything! |
