DisneyWorld 2005

We spent 3 days at Disney World.  To avoid tons of travel, we decided to stay on property.  Here's the front approach to the Wilderness Lodge.
This lodge was pretty massive.  All the pools and spas were located behind the lodge, and fed by this stream/waterfall that started up in the lobby and came all the way down into the pool.  The girls were pretty fascinated by the whole thing and always stopped whenever we passed by it...
The best way to get from the lodge to the magic kingdom was via boat!  There was a small transport that continuously shuttled guests from the dock, around the Contemporary, to the Magic Kingdom.  We rode it often.  Here's MJ and our little ones heading over to the kingdom for the first time.
They made George ride the carousel- multiple times.
We also went on the Mad Hatter tea cup ride... multiple times.  The girls got a real kick out of this one!
We always wound up in the yellow cup... go figure.
Another excellent ride was the Buzz Lightyear adventure- in this one, you ride in a car and shoot at Zurg.  you also control the car's spin, etc...  Even MJ loved this one!
One day, we had breakfast in the Contemporary at Chef Mickey's.  Yep, you got it- Mickey and crew made the rounds of all the tables while we were there.
The Dumbo the flying elephant ride was closed; but the magic carpet was a close second.  The girls thought the camel that randomly spit water on people was funny.
And right across the street was the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse; the girls loved this, too!
We did take a very lame river boat ride; the "guide's" sense of humor was terrible- he should have been in a dive bar doing stand up comedy.
We got to see the parade one afternoon.
Ready to charge on our last day. After the first day, we figured out that the stroller was a winning concept, not just for carrying the kids but also carrying our stuff...

Anyhow, here we are with the castle in the background.  The green fence is another "construction project"- there seemed to be a lot of them this time of year.

Looking down through tomorrow land.
The last night, we had dinner w/Pooh and friends.  Here's our little ones taking in one last view of the castle.

All in all, an excellent adventure- a good time was had by all.
