April Fools Day, 2000
Two of MJ's co-workers (Erik and Antoinette) needed some company while they renewed their wedding vows...
...and Vegas and Elvis just seemed like the right thing to do..!

Day one-
Jesse and Rose tried hard to miss the flight, but it was an hour late so they made it...
anyhow, here we are downstairs at New York-New York grabbing a late night snack.

Jay and Sean took a later flight, but eventually they showed up.

Here's Jay after food and BEVERAGE(s)..

The hotel we stayed at- NY, NY. Not nearly as nice as most of the other casinos we visited...
...But it did have a roller coaster built on the roof...$10 a ride and worth every cent (we did it twice!)
We had lots of time to kill the next day, so we toured a bunch of casinos.
Here's Bellagio- one of the newest and definitely our favorite!
It had a really nice indoor mall with every name brand you could think of....
The indoor flower garden was just show-stopping!
...and the swimming pool was as nice as any pool we've seen at any resort anywhere..!
Then, of course, there's the $60M pond where they do the hourly water show.
Here we are, by the pond, waiting for the water show...
The show is synchronized to music (they've got tons of loud speakers all over the place) and it runs for 10 minutes or so.  These water cannons poke up out of the water and display amazingly intricate patterns.
Across the street- la tour Eiffel.  You can take the elevator all the way to the top- in fact, there's MJ waving at us now ;-)
We got to see several water shows- here's the view from the top of the Eiffel tower.
Another new hotel- the Venetica- modeled after Venice.  this place had amazing murals on the ceilings (kind of like the Sistine chapel..
The Wedding
In order to keep things as tacky as possible, everyone was encourage to dress up in 1960's garb, so the prep work took a while...
MJ looks great in Plastic... very hip.   (she's actually playing with hair spray in this photo...)
jesse checking out rose (his wife)- good thing she had those black hot pants on under her...uh..dress
mj and shawn (with evil jesse lurking on the right...!)
The happy couple.. looking nervous... NOT!
Of course, no Vegas wedding is complete without Elvis.  Here he is, ready for the ceremony
Antoinette wanted to be carried in on s surfboard (what's up wid dat?).  So, Erik found 2 surfers with a surfboard to handle the task.
walk with an erection?
Since this was a real wedding, Elvis didn't actually do the ceremony- it was performed by the totally righteous dude to his left.  But Elvis did a mean lip-sync of one of his songs after the legal part.
And, boys will be boys... Here's the surfer dudes playing w/beach balls in the chapel after wedding
Stepping out after the nuptials.  Rose is looking particularly hot here- notice her drink..!
The Next Day
Being as we are all old farts, no one stayed up all night gambling.
So the next day, MJ was the tour guide for the whole group and took everyone around to the hotels we had previewed the day before.
hey, ma, look what i bought at Caesar's Mall... and i didn't even get carded...!
The whole crew thought this was a good idea, so we all got them..!
Here's a scene you don't see every day- gambling for god (and since we were in vegas, not San Francisco, good chance this really was a nun...)

Later that day, we all flew home.  It was a great time and great weekend with a terrific group of people- let's do it again soon!
