[10-dec-05 Saratoga, CA] Today the Austin-Hill Resort announced that they have acquired a new staff member. "Scooby" came from the Santa Clara Animal Shelter. He's about a year old and only 75 lbs, but, given his chocolate lab and great dane genes, he's expected to reach full size within a year or two. He'll be acting as greeter, watchdog, lifeguard and all around companion. |

We did take him to the vet at one month, and he had gained 8 lbs, weighing in at 95 lbs. The vet said he's at least 8 months old; and should top out at about 130 lbs! |

| At christmas, he got a candy cane shaped rawhide. This lasted about 2 hours. |  |

George is definitely his alpha- he needs to be wherever George is and cries whenever George leaves without him. |

March 10, 2007 Scoob ran thru the front slider... He had a cut over his eye and sliced up his leg pretty good, but Adobe took good care of him. |

Of course, he still had to wear the "cone of silence" for 3 weeks while his leg healed. Everytime I walked by him, I couldn't resist asking "Can you hear me now?" |
