| when | what | notes |
| 6:15am - 7:30am | wake up | we give them a sippy cup w/hot chocolate/strawberry soon
after they get up. FILL UP the 2 cup pyrex cup with milk and heat in microwave for 2 minutes. |
| 8:15am - 9:00am | breakfast | typically they don't eat much breakfast;
we try to give them cereal and fruit at breakfast. They also like rice cakes. As to beverages, if they haven't dented their hot chocolate yet, push them to work on it. The next beverage course should contain Orange juice (for calcium). After these 2 cups, we serve 50-50 mix of juice and water. Avoid too much apple juice- it goes right thru them (1 full cup or less per day) |
| 9:00am - 12:30pm | playtime | arts and crafts; swimming; skating; etc… |
| 12:30 - 1:15pm | lunch | usually their big meal of the day; they eat
lots here. They will eat pasta, rice and/or taters. They will also eat canned beans, peas, carrots, etc... |
| 1:30 - 5:00pm | play time | |
| 5:00pm - dinner | TV time if they're grumpy | small snack (crackers, cheetos or whatever) |
| 7:00pm - 7:30pm | dinner | they don't eat a ton at dinner; serve milk and don't worry about it. |
| 8:30pm - 9:00pm | get ready for bed | get cleaned up (bath every 3 days) brush teeth (daily) pull-ups and sleepers read books tuck them in. |
| overnight | they're noisy sleepers; oftentimes they'll make noises and/or fuss a bit, then just go back to sleep. In that case, best to ignore them. If they persist, go in and figure out what's wrong; most of the time it's: (1) they've wet thru and need a new pull-up; (2) Taylor lost ("blue dog") |
