Other Fun in Maui

It turns out we were in Maui during "high" season and all the cars were sold out.
Caky had rented a "full size" vehicle for us, and we barely fit as you can see here.
The joke was that we were giving the Griswolds a run for their money ;-)

Two beautiful girls were very glad to be there.

One afternoon we all went snorkeling just down the beach from our hotel.
George, Joepa and Taylor had the privlege of seeing a turtle and swimming with it!

Mom and Jordan came down a bit later.
They missed the turtle, but we got to see some cool tangs and stuff anyway.

We also spent a fair amount of time eating out (like every dinner).
HERE we are waiting for our table at Ruth's Chris- it was excellent!

We also went to the Japanese restaurant in the hotel and it was excellent also.
The girls loved it because they had a "river-of-chocolate" desert table!

One day, Caky, Joepa and MJ thought the weather would be better at 10,000 feet at the top of Haleakula.
We drove for 1-1/2 hours thru a pea soup fog to discover... it wasn't!
The day wasn't a total loss- they were able to recreate this photo from their previous visit 25 years ago.
